So the next series of Mini Mutants are out and this series is based on the 2k3 Paleo Patrol line of figures.I have only seen them thus far at Target stores so that's the place to look for the moment.
I have to say I wasn't a big fan of the larger versions of these figures or the dinosaurs that they released alongside the turtles in the line.
But these new mini Dinosaurs are simply great, well almost.
I've only bought the Donatello set thus far because it was my favorite out of the batch plus Don is my favorite turtle.
The articulation on Donatello is basic just as it was on the first set of mini mutants, the arms, legs, and head move as well as the hands.
I don't care much for the movie style of turtle figures so I more than like will be buying these all just for the Mini Dino's and then sell the turtles to another fan.
So on to Don's Dino buddy Stego, I really love this figure it reminds me of an old TMNT adventures character Qark the pet of Sarnath.
The articulation for Stego is interesting his legs are on the old ball pegs much like that of the 90's TMNT line, but there is one thing that bothers me about this figure is that his head looks as if it should move and has a cut around his neck area which leads one to believe it would move but it doesn't.
The detail and paint job on these are pretty darn nice especially Stego, this is what I've been wanting Playmates to get back to for some time now so I'm quite happy with these.

I think Donatello is the strongest out of these sets because of Stego of course, with Raphael coming in next because of his Dino as well, I would say Michelangelo is the next one in terms of an interesting factor, I sadly have to place Leonardo's set in last place because the other character he comes with is just bland and boring, I would of rather seen him come with a Mini Savanti figure.
I give this entire lineup of figures 8 Shells out of a possible 10 shells, But I really have to say Playmates is doing something right with these Mini Mutants.
