TMNT Season 2 - Part 2 Cover Art

It was discovered tonight that Amazon.com has released the cover image to Season 2 Pt. 2 for TMNT 2k3.I really love these covers and hope they continue to keep using the same artist for the entire run of this series as the art is simply beautiful.
This title will be released on September 2, 2008 acording to their website.

This is it for me right here this little fellow the Utrom perfect!I hope he comes with an exoskeleton and blaster and perhaps a small walker or robot.

I hope his arms are atleast articulated but it looks like they are.

NECA Elite Put Foot In Their Mouths!

Two very nice figures using the same body (very smart) where shown fully colored at the San Diego Comicon tonight also The Elite Guard, & Foot Soldier.Both very nice figures even though I can say right now if they come out like this I'll be doing a bit of repainting as I'm not happy with the color choices but the sculpts are damn nice even if I think the Elite Guard should be more muscular.
What do you guys think?
I'm very excited for this line and I hope it lasts for some time.

NECA Gets Shredded Or Does It?

Well the Shredder now been shown at the San Diego Comicon and I sadly have to admit I'm just not that impressed.This is what I think:
While the colors are ok I was really hoping that they would do vac-metal for his metal parts.
The body is ok but a little bit to skinny, His head looks as if it was sculpted with sculpy by a fan not by a professional, His shoulder pads go down to far if you ask me, I think that there should be at least one more row of blades on his legs and arms it just looks awkward with 2 rows, and the blades on his legs look to small.

This is why NECA should be allowing Murph to post the protos on his blog so the fans can give their opinions and end up enjoying the figures that are being made for them.I really wish they would stop using the First Graphic Novels as their color guide also The foot Soldiers are going to look like total ass if they color them that way.But what's in the left hand corner has my attention more than anything else, and I know damn well that's an Utrom! TMNT Shell Shifters Hit The Target

More new TMNT Movie styled figures have hit the shelves and have been reported to be seen @ both Target and Wal-mart stores.
My honest opinion of these rehashed 2k3 Mech Wrecker figures is that while it's interesting that they added some new features to these they are just repaints with the same old ugly Movie styled figures in them.They really should have made a Shredder one or another character I'm getting quite tired of just the same 4 turtles over and over again I know kids and fans alike have to be bored to death over these 4 movie turtles by now.
I give this entire lineup of figures 4 Shells out of a possible 10 shells, because while they new action features are cool they used the same 4 turtles that they've been using for over a year now without a single change and is just dull and totally boring at this point. Move on Playmates the movie wasn't that good!

Preview Night is The Night! San Diego Comicon News!

I got word today from Neca today about when the figures will go on sale thanks to Dan Berger of the official TMNT site.
I know allot of people have been wanting this information so I hope you find it helpful.

"The plan is 1 per person selling on preview night and on Thursday. We have Kevin signing from 2-4pm on Thursday. There is a good chance the TMNT set will be sold out in advance on Kevin's appearance."
So - getting there early seems to be imperative.

Playmates In Denial, Fans Ready Flames & Pitchforks!

Ok guys so I'm sorry to announce that I just got replies back from both Dan Berger & Steve Murph and this is what they had to say.

I think they're just being optimistic to keep the hype train rolling
along in bad economic times.
There are ongoing discussions with several studios about a new movie
deal that are progressing well, but nothing is set in stone yet.

So there you have it folks I'm very sorry to get your hopes up and I hope the lot of you aren't to upset but you can't be to mad at me for trying to spread some joy amongst the fandom, Playmates is the one that put that up after all.
But it is good to know from Dan that they are still trying.

Total Bull Playmates is a Fool! No Film in 2010!

This news was made in error on the part of Playmates Toys who wanted to keep the hype going.We had all been lead to believe that we would get a new live action film by this blerb on their site but it turns out that it was nothing more than false hype in poor times.

Playmate of the Year 2008

Playmates toys updated their web site today with some brand new toys soon to hit toy shelves some have just landed within the last week. Take a closer look at what Playmates is offering fans this fall in the Sub Sewer, Mutant Global Missions, Mini-Mutants, & More!

It Came From Beneath The Sub Sewers

So reports came in last week that a new line of Playmates TMNT figures was released in the California area at Toys R Us, well I'm happy to announce one week later they've reached the East Coast here in Pittsburgh,PA.

Well Turtles themselves have arrived but the 2 bad guys a Mole Man & a winged Spider Creature where nowhere to be seen, trust me I looked all over the isle.
It's such a shame because those where the 2 I'm interested in, but I must admit that some of these while simple movie figures with outfits sculpted over them are really cool especially Mikey for once which is shocking.

I must apologize for the bad photos they had been taken with my cell phone as I do not plan to buy these.
I give this entire lineup of figures 6 Shells out of a possible 10 shells, because it's almost there in the coolness factor and with interesting and detailed bad guys but the turtles just aren't there yet.
I'm still sticking to my thought that the new Mini-Mutant line is where it's at, if only they put that much care into the large line.
